Available Facilities
The Doctors Laboratory (TDL) offers facilities for both sample drop-off and for sample production on site.
TDL is a comfortable and well-organised space where you can choose to drop off your sperm sample within 50 minutes of producing it at home or arrange to produce a sample in one of its private rooms. Both drop-off and on-site production must be arranged by appointment.
Booking an Appointment
To book an Examen sperm DNA fragmentation test at TDL, please book online at https://10to8.com/book/tdlandrology/, email andrology@tdlpathology.com, or call +44 207 052 7940, and they will confirm a slot for sample drop-off or production.
All patients must have a referral letter from a referring clinic, GP, or fertility practitioner to book a test. We cannot accept samples without a referral. When you attend your appointment, please bring your referral letter with you; this is essential to make sure your referring clinician is accurately noted on the Test Request Form.
Please ensure to specify the correct test when making a booking – Exact (CMET), Extend (CMET3), or Extensiv (CMT5).
Important Information
- Drop-off time: 30 minutes from sample production, maximum 50 minutes
- Abstinence period: 48 hours to 7 days
- Check the latest TDL price book for prices – please note an additional TDL patient services fee is payable on top of their quoted Examen test price.

Your Results
- Examen collect samples from TDL every Tuesday and Thursday and are shipped to our Belfast Lab, arriving within 2 working days.
- Results will usually be ready in 7 to 10 working days from receipt of the samples at Examen Lab in Belfast.
- Results will be sent to you by TDL.
