Examen run two weekly clinic services at the Whittington Hospital, North London, for sperm sample drop-off or production.

The Fertility Centre is located in the Outpatient Reception 4C, which is a comfortable and well organised space. You can choose to drop off your sperm sample within one hour of producing it at home or arrange to produce a sample in one of its private rooms. All sample deposits must be arranged by appointment.

Booking an Appointment

To book an Exact® test at the Whittington, please call +44 (0)7979 548183 or email ericafoster@nhs.net and she will confirm a slot for sample drop-off or production.

Appointments are available every 15 minutes as follows:

• Friday 2:00pm – 5:00pm, with 4:45pm being the last appointment
• Saturday – availability dependent.

Please note, all patients must have a referral letter from the referring clinic, GP or fertility practitioner in order to book a test. The referring clinic/clinician must be noted on the booking form. We do not accept samples without a referral.

Additional Information

• Recommended drop-off time is 30 minutes from sample production, maximum 1-hour
• Abstinence period: 2–5 days

Receiving Your Results

• Examen will collect the samples in our dry shipper every Friday from the Whittington, and this will arrive at our Belfast Lab within 2 working days
• Our turnaround time is 7–10 days from receipt of the samples to Examen Lab, Belfast
• Results will be issued to the referring clinician by secure email
