Available Facilities
Examen run two weekly clinic services at the Whittington Hospital, North London, for sperm sample drop-off or production.
The Fertility Centre is located in the Outpatient Reception 4C, which is a comfortable and well-organised space. You can choose to drop off your sperm sample within one hour of producing it at home or arrange to produce a sample in one of its private rooms. All sample deposits must be arranged by appointment.
Booking an Appointment
To book an Exact or Extend test at the Whittington, please call +44 (0)7979 548183 or email ericafoster@nhs.net, and she will confirm a slot for sample drop-off or production.
Appointments are available every 15 minutes as follows:
- Friday 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm (last appointment at 4:45 pm)
- Saturday – availability dependent.
All patients must have a referral letter from a referring clinic, GP, or fertility practitioner to book a test. We cannot accept samples without a referral. When you attend your appointment, please bring your referral letter with you; this is essential to make sure your referring clinician is accurately noted on the Test Request Form.
Important Information
- Drop-off time: 30 minutes from sample production, maximum 1 hour
- Abstinence period: 2–5 days
Your Results
- Examen will collect the samples from Whittington every Friday. The samples are shipped in our dry shipper and will arrive at our Belfast Lab within 2 working days.
- Results will be ready 7–10 days from receipt of the samples at Examen Lab in Belfast.
- Results will be sent to you by the Whittington.
