Sarah Martins da Silva is a Senior Lecturer in Reproductive Medicine at University of Dundee. She runs a translational research programme focussed around male infertility, sperm biology and drug discovery. She was recognised for her research in 2019 and named as one of the most inspiring and influential women from around the world by BBC 100 women.
She is also an Honorary Consultant Gynaecologist, Clinical Lead for NHS Tayside Infertility Services and Person Responsible for Ninewells Assisted Conception Unit. As part of her clinical activities she runs specialised male infertility clinics as well as a sperm studies research clinic for couples affected by low/no fertilisation following IVF/ICSI.
