The Exact Tests

Exact is the brand of choice amongst consultants in 80% of the UK’s leading fertility clinics

Accurate assessment of sperm DNA damage, a key biomarker of male infertility.

The Exact Tests

Why Exact?

Conventional semen parameters are accepted to have limited diagnostic value for male infertility. In contrast, sperm DNA damage is known to be a robust biomarker of male infertility and miscarriage. Exact fertility tests have the highest sensitivity and specificity for diagnosing male infertility when compared to other sperm DNA tests. Exact testing can help you decide on the most appropriate medical or surgical interventions and lifestyle changes to improve your patient’s sperm DNA and fertility.

Healthcare Professional Tests

Exact® IVF

Select the optimal fertility treatment for your patient – from their first cycle

Identify normozoospermic men with an increased risk of IVF failure due to high levels of sperm DNA damage.

Why Exact IVF?

Conventional semen parameters are accepted to have limited prognostic value for IVF treatment. Exact® IVF is the only sperm DNA test that is predictive of IVF fertilisation rate, embryo and blastocyst quality, implantation rate, pregnancy rate and live birth rate. ICSI is a more successful treatment than IVF for patients with high sperm DNA damage. Exact IVF testing can help you decide between IVF and ICSI and on medical, surgical or lifestyle interventions to improve your patient’s sperm DNA and chances of IVF success.

Exact IVF is available on request only to healthcare professionals. You can refer your patient to our hubs for testing or by booking an appointment with our partner clinics.

Exact® ICSI

Optimise your patient’s ICSI treatment – from their first cycle

Identify oligozoospermic men with an increased risk of ICSI failure due to high levels of sperm DNA damage.

Why Exact ICSI?

Conventional semen parameters are accepted to have limited prognostic value for ICSI treatment. Exact® ICSI is the only sperm DNA test that is predictive of ICSI live birth rate. ICSI is most successful when sperm with limited DNA damage are used. Sperm DNA damage can be improved by medical and surgical interventions such as varicocele repair or treating underlying infections. Sperm with lower levels of DNA damage can sometimes be retrieved from a testicular biopsy. Exact ICSI testing can help you decide on medical, surgical or lifestyle interventions to improve your patient’s sperm DNA and chances of ICSI success.

Exact ICSI is available on request only to healthcare professionals. You can refer your patient to our hubs for testing or by booking an appointment with our partner clinics.

Exact® Miscarriage

Provide pathways for your patients – men who have experienced sporadic or recurrent miscarriage by natural conception or ART

Identify men with levels of DNA damage outside the fertile range

Why Exact Miscarriage?

Exact testing provides information on the amount of DNA damage in your sperm, which may provide an explanation as to the reason behind your miscarriage. If it is sperm DNA damage that’s a problem, there are a number of lifestyle changes that can be undertaken to improve your sperm quality and increase your chances of a successful pregnancy in the future.
The test can not only help provide necessary understanding, but also help fertility professionals make clinical decisions in regard to which treatment is right for you.
