Dr Vivienne Hall, Consultant Fertility Specialist at CARE London, is keen to investigate couples as thoroughly as possible before embarking on assisted conception cycles. She joins us to discuss the latest developments in sperm DNA fragmentation testing.
Dr Hall trained and graduated at St Bartholomew’s Hospital in London. She has been working in infertility for more than 30 years, in the UK and in Italy.
She has a special interest in recurrent implantation failure and miscarriage and has expertise in the management of low ovarian reserve patients. She is keen to investigate couples as thoroughly as possible before embarking on assisted conception cycles, ensuring the best chance possible of a live birth per treatment cycle started. This pre treatment workup now often includes Sperm DNA fragmentation testing. The debate regarding the importance of this often overlooked factor in embryo development and treatment outcome is gathering pace.
