SpermComet® is the only DNA test guaranteed for oligozoospermic and testicular samples allowing it to be used in the assessment of all male patients. The Examen testing service can be set-up within your own Clinic. In the UK and Ireland, it can also be accessed on a referral basis through our Examen Hubs.
Examen’s test for men with normal semen analyses. Using this test, up to 80% of normozoospermic men attending fertility clinics have been shown to have elevated levels of sperm DNA damage. This affects their fertility and ART prognosis. Identification of these men informs urological intervention to reduce DNA damage and selection of the optimal treatment.
Examen’s specialist test for men with few or no sperm in their ejaculates. Using this test, up to 75% of oligozoospermic men attending fertility clinics have been shown to have elevated levels of sperm DNA damage. Research has shown that these men often have lower levels of damage in their testicular sperm. Identification of these men informs the selection of ICSI with either ejaculated or testicular sperm, or IVF using donor sperm.
